We are back! The children have returned to campus, and the staff is moving on to the wonderful business of guiding and growing these magnificent humans. In our sixth year on this campus, we are thrilled to welcome new families and staff members while carrying on the traditions and culture that Joe and Claire have lovingly fostered since 1991. We are so fortunate to have their continued presence and guidance on campus, even as they transition toward retirement, and I am especially grateful for their daily support and wisdom as I take on my new role . We have a great team in place, ready to move the ball on down the field, and we’re excited to see what this new school year brings. Go Parkside!
We are kicking off our community events with the first Simple Gifts celebration on Friday, September 6th from 8:45-9:15am , followed by our Community Picnic on Saturday, September 7th from 11am-1pm, here on campus . We are also bringing back an oldie but a goodie – Cultural Challenge FOR PARENTS! “Parkside’s Got Talent” on Sunday, September 29th from 2-4pm in the Community Room will feature brave moms and dads sharing their talents to the delight of their children and for the benefit of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and children fighting cancer. In addition, we would love to see you at our Fall Campfire on Saturday, October 19th from 4-9pm, here on campus. Past and present families and all friends of Parkside are always invited to join us for these special gatherings, so in order to make sure you continue to receive information about these and other events, please submit your current contact information here .
We are lucky to have not only the best children in the world here at Parkside, but also the best families and friends. We could not make our school the beautiful, vibrant place it is without help from all of you, and your support is incredible. If you have a special skill or talent, or you just want to spend some time helping around campus, we’d love to have you! Contact the front office , and we’ll be happy to find a place to put you to work.
In preparation for our 30th Anniversary in Spring 2021 , we’ll once again be participating in Amplify Austin this spring as our primary fundraiser for the year. Last year, we launched our Take Sweet Care of Parkside campaign in honor of Joe and Claire and in support of the children, the teachers, and the campus. If you are considering a gift to Parkside in the near future, please contact me for more information, and know that your generosity is deeply appreciated and will help us continue delivering Montessori education from the heart for the next 30 years and beyond.
