Community Parent Ed:
Fostering Independence for the Young Child (3-7yrs)

This is a new class we are offering to our newly-enrolled families, and we want to extend the invitation to our current parents as well. Independence is such a key factor in any Montessori classroom. Come learn how to support your child in developing competence, which grows into confidence. Cultivate a self-motivated, self-directed, and a self-disciplined learner. Learn what to do and when to do it while exploring functional and intellectual independence in a Montessori environment.
Presented by Meagan O’Donnell, Primary teacher at Julia’s Garden

“At Parkside, the respectful way teachers treat and talk to the kids not only shapes their expectations for other relationships in their lives, it also sets them up for a positive experience of learning. There’s a balance of understanding and support, and the benefit of being known by caring, responsive people. We may live in a big city, but Parkside creates a loving, small town feel for every member of the community.
